「Look at the Picture and Talk about the Painting」Xie Hailong: Using Images to Speak Out, Energizing One’s Destiny
This is the first piece of photography that I have collected!
You may not know who Xie Hailong is, but you must have seen this photo “Big Eyes”. These eyes full of longing have inspired countless people to offer help for the Hope Project. The photographer of this photo has been adhering to the photography pursuit of “paying attention to society, fate and life” for decades.
His shots are full of warmth, empathizing with life from the perspective of ordinary people. They not only preserve precious visual records of the times, but also set a humanitarian direction for the Chinese photography community. He used his camera to document and expose the educational difficulties in impoverished areas. With his conscience and perseverance, he made images a force to drive social welfare, changing the fate of over 6 million children.
Today, the influence of “The Big Eyes” continues to grow. Xie Hailong has demonstrated that the power of photography goes beyond capturing a single moment; it lies in caring about society, safeguarding destinies, and warming lives. His unwavering commitment has enabled more ordinary lives to be seen and illuminated.
The tea for today is all gone. Next time, I’ll brew a fresh pot and enjoy art with you again.
