「Following the sound into the painting」Life has no truth, it’s merely a narrative

In “Once Upon a Time in America”, life is a narrative full of subjective hues. Just like this piece “Deborah’s Theme”, it doesn’t aim to restore the facts but rather to salvage those emotions diluted by time. Within the melody, there is the melancholy of time’s passage and the fading of youth, and all the love, hate and regrets dissolve along with it. It turns out that the truth is not what matters; what counts is how we tell the story of our lives.
